All Alone - Lost?..

Today i hav nothing to write?... was jus goin through pages... found this article.. it says wht i want to write.. so i am posting it here..

For those who wonder why I feel down so much, well I've had a bad time. I knew this was going to happen but I had no idea how it would come. I tried to escape it by doing what I thought was right, but instead it just brought me to realize it had to come. I feared that I'd have no more friends, and as a matter of fact, that's how I felt and feel. When you see the future coming, you should know that it is inevitable.

The person this is mainly based on is my best friend. The people that are included in here are all those I truly love. A special person is however still in my heart. I feel her presence and love with me even at time's worst moments. Without her, I'd be lost. I wouldn't even be here if I did not believe in how much love she has for me. I just want her to know that how alone I may feel, she will always be there, in my heart.

The blood in the drawing represents my feelings of these people, slowly seeping out of me. It feels like now that what I loved is gone, there is no point for me to keep loving. All the remaining love that was stored I just can't keep no more.

The darkness that envelope me is depression, deep and highly sickening sadness and thoughts that just make me feel more and more horrible. Since it is so overwhelming, containing all of it would be impossible. I get rid of the love to release myself from depression. The pain will go and the scars will be marked, but only as a memory and no more reality.

Another eXam..

Another exam.. yea today I had one.. But this one I think was my last internal exam.. .. And it turned out to be simple matter of 10 minits .. but finished last.. got to study DSP.. otherwise its goin to be tough for the university exams.. as usual with God’s grace I progressed towards the output at the last moment.. Was the last man to finish the exam.. This was lab exam.. Interestingly the guy who first got the output was having the same question.. so cant blame the question :D.. Anyway it was nice to get at least an output.. viva was as usual a funny one sided affair.. Me and my friend, who was also having it, were very comfortable as all were left and there was no one to hear our wisdom. There is a Malayalam proverb “Mounam vidwanu Bhushanam” (Wise ppl keeps quiet) ..Quite apt for this situation.. Dunno if the Miss know this or not.. ;)..

I watched Ice Age 2.. was waiting for it.. Good film.. But nothing great.. I had written earlier about it.. had great expectations.. But the film lacked something.. I donno what really lacked.. Got to see one more movie today.. May be Batman returns or Hulk.. these study holidays are really boring.. Some friends gone missing and some returning after their final exams.. So this week is going to be exciting.. And it's raining now at Lords, and the motorised-covers come onto the ground. And so the pregnant clouds, which have been hovering over Lord's, have come to the rescue of Sri Lanka. But don’t think Sri Lanka will get away with it.. it's just a drizzle..
Nothing to do today.. so will watch the movie ..

Happy B'day Che

"" Jai Hind ""

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai.

Dekhna hai zor kitna baazuay qaatil mein hai

Karta nahin kyun doosra kuch baat cheet,

Dekhta hun main jise voh chup teri mehfil mein hai

Aye shaheed-e-mulk-o-millat main tere oopar nisaar,

Ab teri himmat ka charcha ghair ki mehfil mein hai

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai.

Waqt aanay dey bata denge tujhe ay aasman,

Hum abhi se kya batayen kya hamare dil mein hai

Khainch kar layee hai sab ko qatl hone ki ummeed,

Aashiqon ka aaj jumghat koocha-e-qaatil mein hai

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai.

Hai liye hathiyaar dushman taak mein baitha udhar,

Aur hum taiyyaar hain seena liye apna idhar.

Hum to ghar se nikle hi the baandhkar sar pe qafan,

Chaahatein liin bhar liye lo bhar chale hain ye qadam.

Zindagi to apni mehmaan maut ki mehfil mein hai,

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai.

Dil mein tuufaanon ki toli aur nason mein inquilaab,

Hosh dushman ke udaa denge humein roko na aaj.

Duur reh paaye jo humse dam kahaan manzil mein hai,

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai.

Dekhna hai zor kitna baazuay qaatil mein hai.

An Anti-Romantic Comedy....

I haven’t read much of English drama. But of the small lot I have read, the one stands out is Arms and the Man by George Bernard Shaw. I read it during my +2 years.. although I didn’t had much time then.. I completed it with in 2-3 days.. Still its my favorite.. The best book I have read.. got a nice storyline....

The story goes lik this... (Courtesy http://www.litencyc.com )

The play takes place in Bulgaria in1885 during a war between Bulgarians and Serbs. The main female character, Raina Petkoff, is in her bedroom and is elated that the Bulgarians have defeated the Serbs through a heroic cavalry charge led by her fiancé, Sergius. A Swiss professional soldier, Captain Bluntschli, who has been fighting on the Serb side and is fleeing from the victorious Bulgarians, enters her bedroom. After his pursuers have gone he and Raina discuss the recent battle. To Raina's consternation he calls Sergius an idiot who would undoubtedly have led the Bulgarians to disaster if the Serbs had not been given the wrong ammunition. He is quite unperturbed at being called a coward by Raina and falls asleep on her bed. The second act takes place after the war is over. Though Raina and Sergius declare eternal love for each other both are only acting out a romantic ideal that has little relation to their real feelings. Sergius soon begins flirting with the maid Louka, who does not repel his advances even though she is engaged to another servant, Nicola. Bluntschli enters to return a coat he has borrowed from the Petkoffs. Now that the war is over he is welcomed by Sergius and Raina's father, Major Petkoff. In Act 3, Bluntschli shows he's expert at military tasks such as organising troop movements, unlike Sergius. He makes fun of Raina's romantic posturing. A letter arrives informing him that his father has died and that he must return to Switzerland. When Louka tells Sergius about Raina and Bluntschli, Sergius challenges him to a duel. Bluntschli takes this calmly but Sergius finally rejects his romantic ideals and declares his intention to marry Louka. When Bluntschli discovers Raina is twenty-three and not a teenager as he had thought he quickly asks her parents for her hand in marriage. When they find out how wealthy he is, they agree, and after some token resistance Raina submits.

On the plot level, Arms and the Man is a successful, and somewhat unique, romantic comedy. The young, melodramatic, and rather superficial Raina comes from a military family deeply involved in a war, her fiancé and her father both being officers. She is surprised, though, one night by the arrival of an enemy soldier. She rescues him, knowing that she'll have to keep the episode a secret from her family forever, and the soldier eventually leaves. Of course, once the war is over, that soldier comes back, forcing each of the primary characters to reevaluate their values and their relationships.

The best part of the play according to me is the climax scene.. Jus go through the dialogues. they r really superb..

RAINA (in uncontrollable vexation). I quite agree with your
account of yourself. You are a romantic idiot. (Bluntschli is
unspeakably taken aback.) Next time I hope you will know the
difference between a schoolgirl of seventeen and a woman of
twenty-three.

BLUNTSCHLI (stupefied). Twenty-three! (She snaps the photograph
contemptuously from his hand; tears it across; and throws the
pieces at his feet.)

SERGIUS (with grim enjoyment of Bluntschli's discomfiture).
Bluntschli: my one last belief is gone. Your sagacity is a
fraud, like all the other things. You have less sense than even
I have.

BLUNTSCHLI (overwhelmed). Twenty-three! Twenty-three!! (He
considers.) Hm! (Swiftly making up his mind.) In that case,
Major Petkoff, I beg to propose formally to become a suitor for
your daughter's hand, in place of Major Saranoff retired.

RAINA. You dare!

BLUNTSCHLI. If you were twenty-three when you said those things
to me this afternoon, I shall take them seriously.

CATHERINE (loftily polite). I doubt, sir, whether you quite
realize either my daughter's position or that of Major Sergius
Saranoff, whose place you propose to take. The Petkoffs and the
Saranoffs are known as the richest and most important families
in the country. Our position is almost historical: we can go
back for nearly twenty years.

PETKOFF. Oh, never mind that, Catherine. (To Bluntschli.) We
should be most happy, Bluntschli, if it were only a question of
your position; but hang it, you know, Raina is accustomed to a
very comfortable establishment. Sergius keeps twenty horses.

BLUNTSCHLI. But what on earth is the use of twenty horses? Why,
it's a circus.

CATHERINE (severely). My daughter, sir, is accustomed to a
first-rate stable.

RAINA. Hush, mother, you're making me ridiculous.

BLUNTSCHLI. Oh, well, if it comes to a question of an
establishment, here goes! (He goes impetuously to the table and
seizes the papers in the blue envelope.) How many horses did you
say?

SERGIUS. Twenty, noble Switzer!

BLUNTSCHLI. I have two hundred horses. (They are amazed.) How
many carriages?

SERGIUS. Three.

BLUNTSCHLI. I have seventy. Twenty-four of them will hold twelve
inside, besides two on the box, without counting the driver and
conductor. How many tablecloths have you?

SERGIUS. How the deuce do I know?

BLUNTSCHLI. Have you four thousand?

SERGIUS. NO.

BLUNTSCHLI. I have. I have nine thousand six hundred pairs of
sheets and blankets, with two thousand four hundred eider-down
quilts. I have ten thousand knives and forks, and the same
quantity of dessert spoons. I have six hundred servants. I have
six palatial establishments, besides two livery stables, a tea
garden and a private house. I have four medals for distinguished
services; I have the rank of an officer and the standing of a
gentleman; and I have three native languages. Show me any man in
Bulgaria that can offer as much.

PETKOFF (with childish awe). Are you Emperor of Switzerland?

BLUNTSCHLI. My rank is the highest known in Switzerland: I'm a
free citizen.

CATHERINE. Then Captain Bluntschli, since you are my daughter's
choice, I shall not stand in the way of her happiness. (Petkoff
is about to speak.) That is Major Petkoff's feeling also.

PETKOFF. Oh, I shall be only too glad. Two hundred horses! Whew!

SERGIUS. What says the lady?

RAINA (pretending to sulk). The lady says that he can keep his
tablecloths and his omnibuses. I am not here to be sold to the
highest bidder.

BLUNTSCHLI. I won't take that answer. I appealed to you as a
fugitive, a beggar, and a starving man. You accepted me. You
gave me your hand to kiss, your bed to sleep in, and your roof
to shelter me--

RAINA (interrupting him). I did not give them to the Emperor of
Switzerland!

BLUNTSCHLI. That's just what I say. (He catches her hand quickly
and looks her straight in the face as he adds, with confident
mastery) Now tell us who you did give them to.

RAINA (succumbing with a shy smile). To my chocolate cream
soldier!

BLUNTSCHLI (with a boyish laugh of delight). That'll do. Thank
you. (Looks at his watch and suddenly becomes businesslike.)
Time's up, Major. You've managed those regiments so well that
you are sure to be asked to get rid of some of the Infantry of
the Teemok division. Send them home by way of Lom Palanka.
Saranoff: don't get married until I come back: I shall be here
punctually at five in the evening on Tuesday fortnight. Gracious
ladies--good evening. (He makes them a military bow, and goes.)

SERGIUS. What a man! What a man!

(Last line of the play)

Yes..i know they are quite lengthy.. But they are splendid.. I love that scene..

BLUNTSCHLI is superb character sketched by Shaw.. a soldier who does not carry pistol cartridges, but chocolates..During the course of the play, Raina comes to realize the hollowness of her romantic idea and her fiancé's values, and the true nobility of the "chocolate-cream soldier."..

It’s a very nice play.. so guys if u haven’t tried it ..plzz give a try..

Yahoo!!.....

If someone ask me who is ur fav actor..the answer is simple.. and it is the same as wht most of the malayalis answer.. But if someone ask me who is ur fav hindi actor.. thn its quite difficult.. Many may think my answer very funny..i kno that.. but i dunno y i tend to answer Manoj Kumar.. If this question was asked four or five year back.. thn the answer will be..the Indian Elvis Presley..none other than.. Junglee Shammi Kapoor ..

i liked him and still lik him .. for his andaz.. not the film Andaz.. his style.. (Andaz was one of his last hits..) .. I hav seen only a small number of films with him in lead.. Actually he was hero only in 15-16 films only.. they say his significant weight gain ended his career as a hero ..The films i lik most are ..Junglee, Rajkumar, Professor , Kashmir Ki Kali, An Evening in Paris, Brahmachari etc.. Most of his films were typical 'prince' films.. which had him as a prince..he looked one..with his face and actions.. and his blue eyes.. no wonder he found himself hero of films with titles Rajkumar, Prince, Chhote Sarkar.. and his trade mark was his Yahoo and his dance.. Who will forget that dance..Aa aa aja aa aa aja.. and badan pe sitare.. But the song that caught my imagination as a child was a song with Shammi at his best.. i dunno if someone remember it or not..but i still remember it .. Jaanewalo zara hoshiyar yahaan ke hum he rajkumar.. the song of film Rajkumar.. I havnt found this song on net ..
Also one thing I shouldn’t forget to tell is that…Shammi kapoor was also one of the foremost internet users in India. He is the founder and chairman of Internet Users Community of India (IUCI) and has been instrumental in setting up internet organizations like the Ethical Hackers Association..

One and only Mohanlal !!...

Today i joined a fan site of mohanlal.. got this article .. i dunno if these are the best or not..anyway jus read it.. and think.. the top 10 scenes of mohanlal.....

Here are the top 10 scenes of Mohanlal's acting career. All these films are must see films as well. Please respond with what you feel about this.
Kireedam: Climax scene. Sethumadhavan sits near to the wheel of the bullock cart with a knife. The face is a gamut of expressions. Grief-Anger-Despair
Chithram: Dialogue with the Jail Suprindednt(Soman). "Ippo jeevikkan aagraham thonnithudngiyirikkunnu". Notice the way voice has rendred.
Thalavattam: Null expression when the doctor kills Vinu. Challenge for any actor even the impact for the viewer is not much.
Dasaratham: Climax. Dialog with the nurse(Sukumari) looking at the sunset requesting that can I call you as my mom.
Iruvar: Anandan is with the makup. He is prepared for the scene. Director tells him that no need to act in the scene. Anandan takes the artificial beard from his face and there is a mixture of expressions. Just perfect.
Company: The dialog with Chandu in the hospital at Nairobi. Tight close up. The police officer tries to coach the gangster. The expressions are apt.
Kilukkam: The dialogue with Nischal (Jagathy Sreekumar) telling the fortune Joji got. "I will send you Sngapore dollors". No slapstick. No bafoonery. The comedy is in the normal expressions and voice rendering.
Sadayam: Climax. After killing the girls. Tight closeup. Tears from the eyes. There is an expression of satisfaction dominated by despair.
T.P Balagopalan M.A: The marketing scene of wallpapers. Balagopalan makes the wall of the customer a mess. No voice. Just notice the way the embarassment has expressed. This kind of situations demands good control and timing from the actor. Audience laughs.
Thoovanathumpikal: The moment when he understand that Clara was a virgin. Very much controlled acting again.
